2024 Pir Haroon ur Rasheed (ra) King of Aces Award

Dear Paktennis members:

I am pleased to announce the *2024 Pir Haroon ur Rasheed (ra) King of Aces* award, which will include a cash prize of PKR 50,000, and a shield to the player who registers the highest number of aces in men's singles and men's doubles matches (combined) in the upcoming Khawaja Iftikhar Memorial tournament in Lahore. This is the first yearly King of Aces * award to mark. This is an ideal tournament to lay the foundation for this award. For this is a tournament to honor Khawaja Iftikhar Sahib, the maternal grandfather of Pakistan's Tennis Super Star and current President of Pakistan Tennis Federation Mr. Aisam ul Haq Qureshi esq.

The ceremony for PHR King of Aces 2024 will be held a week after the tournament at the PTF Complex Islamabad where, in the presense of the President PTF, the grandson of Pir Haroon ur Rasheed (ra) Shahzada Ahmed J. Nazir will award the prize to the winner ان شاءالله.

* The PHR King of Aces award will be given yearly to the player who will have the highest number of aces in men's singles and doubles (combined) matches for the entire year. 1. It is the responsibility of the players to send in the official data attested by the tournament referee and director to PakTennis.com. 2. PakTennis.com will have the sole discretion on accepting or rejecting any results. 3. Players sending in their data must be registered members of the PakTennis.com community for King of Aces, Player of the Year and Coach of the Year awards.

Pir Haroon ur Rasheed (RA) King of Aces Award 2024

The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) proudly held the inaugural ceremony for the Pir Haroon ur Rasheed (RA) King of Aces Award and a cash prize of PKR 50,000 today at the PTF Complex. Pakistan No. 3 Mr. Muzammil Murtaza won first of its kind award in the history of Pakistan Tennis by smashing 41 ACES in the Khawaja Iftikhar Memorial National Tournment held in Lahore last week.

The shield was presented by Shahzada Ahmad Nazir, grandson of Pir Haroon ur Rasheed (ra), to Mr. Muzammil Murtaza. The cash prize check was presented by Mr. Aisam ul Haq Qureshi, President PTF. Muzammil Murtaza was congratulated on becoming the King of Aces 2024 by Shahzada Jamal Nazir ex Federal Minister and Head of Tennis Pir Group.

Shahzada Jamal Nazir also appreciated the efforts of Mr. Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi for his professionalism and relentless dedication in promoting tennis in Pakistan. He assured his full support to the President PTF. Shahzada Jamal Nazir reminded the audience that the award was named after his father Pir Haroon ur Rasheed (ra) to honor his memory. He breifly spread light on the life of Pir Haroon ur Rasheed (ra) and his service to the people of Pakistan. He said that the tennis players are ambassedors of Pakistan and Islam so they must carry positive message as true professionals around the world. Shahzada Jamal Nazir said that the tennis community in Pakistan is fortunate to have Mr. Aisam ul Haq Qureshi as the President. He said that Mr. Qureshi is a true super star who understands the needs of the tennis players. He not only appreciated but also showed full confidence in Mr. Qureshi’s long term vision for Pakistan tennis.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi expressed his gratitude to Shahzada Jamal Nazir for introducing innovative ideas to motivate players and encourage excellence in tennis. Mr. Qureshi encouraged players to practice relentlessly to take their game to the international level. Mr. Qureshi also shared the ideas presented to him by Shahzada Jamal Nazir, namely the upcomming coach and player of the year awards, monthly giveaways at paktennis.com and much more! Mr. Qureshi has brought a breath of fresh air to the enitre tennis community.

Speaking to the ceremony, Muzammil Murtaza thanked the President PTF and Shahzada Jamal Nazir for the award. He made it clear that he intends to work even harder to make certain that he becomes the King of Aces again for the 2025.

Pakistan’s tennis legend Mr. Aqeel Khan, Barrister Mian Yousaf Jamal Kakakhel and his son Syed Ali Jamal Shah and Ex. Secretary General PTF Col. Gul Rehman, along side a large number of tennis players, coaches and parents attended the ceremony and the luncheon. Mian Yousaf Jamal, General Secretary of the Tennis Pir Group, assured the tennis community of exciting awards in the coming days. The event was sponsored by paktennis.com and the Tennis Pir Group.

I am thrilled to notice first hand that exciting new initiatives are being launched by Shahzada Jamal Nazir Sahib and his friends in the Pir Group. I am equally excited to affirm that Aisam Qureshi, PTF President, values these initiatives and will go hand in hand with the honorable Pir Sahib.

I second this, we should really maintain a sticky post/thread that a relevant person keeps updating regularly and everyone can refer to that to get motivation. It'll be fun
